- AICM: Aeropuerto Internacional de la Ciudad de México 2 hours from San Juan del Río
- AIFA: Aeropuerto Internacional Felipe Ángeles (NEVER, it is far away from everywhere)
- Cancún: 1 day driving or 2 hours by flight to Querétaro
- Querétaro: 40 min to San Juan del Río, big city
- San Juan del Río: where the wedding is going to take place
FLIGHTS FROM SWITZERLAND TO MEXICO CITY
We recommend you to take your flight from Zürich to Mexico City, if you take a flight directly from Zürich to Cancun it would be longer because you will need a connection flight to Mexico City or Querétaro.
From Mexico City there are direct buses to Queretaro inside of the airport that are around 380 mexican pesos (20 chf, 21 USD) (Please select the date later on, the example is just with a random date)

In México there are so many beautiful places, wonderful nature, and much more. Consider that Mexico is a lot bigger than Switzerland so we recommend you to travel around with the following types of transportation:
BUS – Mexican buses like Primera Plus or ETN (trusty and nice bus companies) to move from City to City
FLIGHT- to move between different cities and from state to state. It can take a MANY hours just to go through one state. There are cheap flights from Airlines like VOLARIS or VIVAAEROBUS. Anyhow, the National flights are cheap with any airline so don’t worry about that.
UBER – to go around in a city
We don’t recommend driving by yourself in Mexico City. It is one of the craziest places to drive and if you don’t know the city or you have the right device for highways with tolls you are basically screwed with tons of traffic around you. Even google maps is tricky as it can’t correctly differentiate between free roads and ones with tolls.
(Please, this shouldn’t scare you. Follow our recommendations; UBER and long-distance buses, and you will be great.)
