GETTING TO MEXICO CITY

TRAVELING TO MEXICO CITY IS EASY, WITH MANY DIRECT INTERNATIONAL FLIGHTS AND SIMPLE TRANSPORTATION FROM THE AIRPORT TO THE MAIN NEIGHBORHOODS WHERE MOST HOTELS ARE LOCATED.

AIRPORT

BENITO JUÁREZ INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT (MEX)

Mexico City’s main international airport and the one where most international flights arrive at. It is located about 20–30 minutes from the central neighborhoods depending on traffic.

FELIPE ÁNGELES INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT (AIFA)

A second airport that also serves the city though most international visitors still arrive at Benito Juárez.

GETTING TO THE CITY

The easiest way to reach the main neighborhoods where many hotels are located (Polanco, Roma Norte, Condesa, Reforma, and Centro Histórico) is by Uber or authorized airport taxi.

Uber is widely used and reliable in Mexico City and is often the simplest option for visitors. After requesting a ride, the app will guide you to the designated pickup area outside the terminal.

UBER PICKUP LOCATIONS

TERMINAL 1 (MEX)

Pickup usually takes place outside Door 4 or Door 7 on the arrivals level.

TERMINAL 2 (MEX)

Pickup typically occurs outside Door 2 or Door 5 on the arrivals level.

Look for “Rideshare / App pickup” signage outside the terminal and confirm the meeting point in the Uber app.

VISA & ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

Entry requirements depend on nationality, but for most tourists the process is straightforward.

ARGENTINE CITIZENS

Argentine passport holders do not need a visa to visit Mexico for tourism and may stay for up to 180 days.

BRAZILIAN CITIZENS

Brazilian passport holders must hold a valid U.S. visa or obtain a tourist eVisa before traveling to Mexico. The application is completed online and is typically issued within a few days.
